Brief introduction

poweranalytics Data as a Service (DLaaS) solution provides powercloud customers state-of-the art Data Lake (DL) with modern business intelligence and reporting tool and offers following functions:

poweranalytics’ Data Lake as a Service (DLaaS)

  • Data Lake (DL) with powercloud data
    • customers’ powercloud data is imported in poweranalytics’ BI (customers’ database in Amazon Redshift cluster)
  • Data Lake API (DL-API)
    • customers can query and integrate their poweranalytics’ BI data in their visualization tools like Amazon QuickSight, Power BI, Qlik Sense, Tableau or other
  • powercloud-Data Lake synchronization
    • all changes in powercloud are synchronized  with Data Lake near real-time
  • integration of other data sources
    • customers’ data from other sources can be easily integrated in BI solution together with powercloud data or for standalone
  • integration in other sources
    • customers‘ powercloud data and data changes can be captured transformed and uploaded to other sources
  • out-of-box integration with RaaS
    • fully integrated with poweranalytics’ RaaS solution allowing customers reporting over near real-time data

  • out-of-box integration with DLaaS
    • fully integrated with poweranalytics‘s DLaaS with direct access to powercloud‘s near realtime data
  • powercloud reporting set
    • out-of-box reporting set with more than 30 reports build on poweranalytics’ BI in Power BI
  • powercloud embedding and embedding API
    • reporting is automatically embedded in powercloud solution (separate module for advanced reporting) and can be integrated in customer’s web sites, portals, mobile applications or other systems
  • extended reporting workspace
    • additional reporting over powercloud data and data from other sources can be easily created and integrated in the solution
  • poweranalytics’ portal customer space
    • reporting is automatically embedded in the customer view space in poweranalytics’ web portal
  • various export options:
    • reporting and underlying data can be exported in excel, csv, pdf and powerpoint formats

Architecture in a nutshell

 

  1. initial upload and ongoing sync
    • customers’ powercloud data is initially loaded to poweranalytics’ DL. On-going synchronization between powercloud databases (Aurora cluster) and poweranalytics’ DL (AWS Redshift) is set up  with poweranalytic’s Change Data Capture (PCCDC) tool
  2. extended data source integration
    • data from other sources is easily integrated in solution and stored in poweranalytics’ DL (mostly in Amazon S3 but customer / data specific).
  3. extended data model
    • integration of the powercloud DL  and additional data is set up. Data is seamlessly integrated also to a point of virtual merges in one table.
  4. out-of-box data to reporting integration:
    • Data Lake data is integrated in powerBI reporting. Standard reporting set consists of more than 30 reports over powercloud data. poweranalytics’ powerBI embedded server hosts reporting data and provides access API for further integration / embedding of data.
  5. reporting integration: reporting data
    • is integrated/embedded in customers’ powercloud system
    • is integrated/embedded in customers‘ space in poweranalytics’ portal
    • can be integrated/embedded in customer’s own solutions like web sites, portals, mobile applications or other systems
  6. Extended data to reporting integration:
    • additionally/in place of provided reporting customers can access poweranalytics’ DLaaS with their own visualization tools
  7. Advanced upload and ongoing sync
    • additionally customers’ powercloud data can be captured, transformed and uploaded to external customers’ databases and systems with poweranalytics’ Change Data Capture (PCCDC) tool.
